Mariacarla Boscono & Givenchy

Spring/summer is my least favorite time of the year. I spend all winter ridding myself of any color that my pasty white skin accumulated during this horrible California heat, only to be back here just a few short months later. BUT this summer I am not letting the heat ruin my dressing habits as it has for so long.

My favorite time in fashion is always fall/winter. The leather, the cozy fur jackets, layering up layering. I'm not a fan of being warm really but I tend to layer a lot and it's just impossible in the summer. I also can't stand the color palette during this time, I am not trendy in any shape or form, black and white is always in style for me.

The Givenchy line for spring/summer did however give me some hope, especially this ad. From a ripe age I have had the biggest heterosexual crush on Mariacarla Boscono, to the death she will be my favorite model and lookie here, her in the ad for Givenchy summer 09!

Black satin jackets, pleather pants, boots..I swear to God they read my mind.

Black lipstick? Too goth for even me??

I don't know why but I've been craving some dark, dark, dark lipstick. I've been sort of been shy when it comes to dark colors on my lips since everyone loves to point out how big they are(I really don't think they are) so I feel like if I wore black or dark on my lips it would be utterly ridiculous.


I don't mean the my life is like a black abyss where's the black lipstick and spiderwebs on my face kind of black lipstick


I mean the Vogue sort of, with some Victorian inspired frock or something and some pin-up ish hair. Something glamorous. I'm also wondering how maybe some black lipliner with red lipstick would look. Not the super cool chola look haha but maybe the black fading perfectly into the red, i dont know. Maybe Ill try it soon and see where it goes.

I'm gonna get this whole thing stared by obviously advertising the hell out of the first TD event. It's taken months to plan it out, and we have tons of bands, some really cool vendors, and a bunch of hot chicks. So if you're not there, then you really suck.
